Join Us

On our Wedding Day,
July 26th, 2024

If you've received a mailed invitation, you're welcome to our wedding in Yorkshire, "God's own country".

We always wanted our wedding to be a getaway where guests could relax and unwind at no great cost, and that's what we've set out to achieve. That extends to wedding gifts - please don't worry about that - the pleasure of your company is the gift that keeps on giving. (Clearly, we're drunk as we write this.)

However, we also wanted everyone to feel part of the event, not just a spectator, so we've kept things exclusive and low-key in an intimate setting. This means everyone will have at least a small role in making this a special occasion.

At 3:30 pm, we'll convene at the Northallerton Registration Office, also known as The Old Courthouse, for the main event.

Then, we'll take a short drive through the country to Birdforth, where drinks and dancing await, as well as dinner courtesy of Chef Fabrice

This ex-Michelin chef has cooked for the likes of Bill & Hilary Clinton, Robin Williams, and Steve Martin. Now comes his greatest challenge - us lot!

See below for a full breakdown of the weekend, and other relevant info, and to RSVP with your preferences for the wedding breakfast!

Once the ceremony has ended, we'll do the typical obligatory photos that are of no interest to anyone other than the bride and groom. Start practising your cheesiest grins! After that, our next venue, Birdforth Hall is just a twenty-minute drive away.

Remain in your finest for dinner, or change into something more comfortable ahead of dinner prepared by Chef Fabrice Lavacry

ChefFabriceLavacry

With over 20 years of experience as a chef, Mr Lavacry is a Frenchman who focuses on seasonal menus and has used his passion for food to achieve a much-coveted Michelin star. In his own words...

"Having worked all over the world during my career I have had the pleasure of creating dishes with a total knowledge and fusion from around the globe....I never forget my origins though and return frequently to my gallic roots when creating flavours....

"Baking is another total pleasure for me as is the creation of exquisite, devilish desserts that deliver a superb ending to the meal experience."

We've worked with Chef Fabrice on the menu below. Let us know your preferences on the RSVP form below!

So far, we have a blend of classic crowdpleasers, old-school Mauritian Sega tunes that pair well with a glass or five of rum, and exhilarating alternative left-fielders.

However, we are eager for everyone to feel included. So why don't you jump onto our Spotify playlist and add your faves, or use the RSVP form to let us know what you would like to hear.

DISCLAIMER: We (Kris and Jodie) reserve the right to veto suggestions. Afterall, the fact that you're invited clearly means we are highly discerning. Right?

Saturday 27th July

Saturday is all about relaxing and having fun in and around the grounds of Birdforth Hall. There's a heated indoor swimming pool, hot tubs, a pool table and table tennis. Also, feel free to take in the stunning scenery and gorgeous landscapes of the local area.

The kitchen will be fully stocked for meals and snacks throughout the day and for Sunday morning too. However, if there is any specific food or drink that you would like, please feel free to bring it along.

Sunday 28th July

"You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here."

Have a safe journey home! Or wherever. We're done with you now.
